End of life for Server 2003?? It’s true, the long lasting ever loving Windows Server 2003 will no long be supported after July 14, 2015; similar to what happened to Windows XP this year on April 9. Microsoft has announced that Windows 2003 Server will enter its end-of-support phase, meaning an end to support and security patches, said Brad Anderson, corporate vice president of Windows Server and System Center. For those who does not wish to migrate to the newer platform, Microsoft mentioned a custom support channel aiding; those with deep pockets we assume. “If new issues do happen to be found, the only way to receive additional updates will be through a custom support agreement,” said Anderson in a statement.

AT 12 years old, Microsoft will pull out the support and update for Windows Server 2003.
Today over 10 millions of servers around the globe still utilizes the 2003 platform. Microsoft encourage users and data-centers to migrate to their new 2012 lightweight Server. In the next 12 months, upgrades will occur hoping to increase business revenue for the server 2012 platform.
